Rein de Lege

ReinLege was born in Rotterdam in 1954. At the age of 16 he began studying fine arts at the "Rijksakademie" in Amsterdam (1971-1975) then continued his studies at the "Akademie Minerva 'in Groningen (1977-1980) where he specialized in engraving and lithography After visiting Barcelona for the first time in 1978, Rein Lege was so fascinated by life on the streets and bars of the "Barrio Chino" Since then, he returned often to draw the environments in this district (now better known by its official name, the "Raval") in 1988 decided to move to Barcelona. The numerous drawings, done over the years, characters in the old part of town is still material for his current work. Rein Lege lives in Barcelona and has his studio in Vilanova i la Geltru.
